Functions
The Gainsborough fixing system is slightly different from the standard UK system, and care should be taken to identify which products are required, and how they will be fitted.

Gainsborough Knob Furniture is invisible fix. After a steel fixing disc is screwed to the door, with latch posts inserted through the pre-fitted mortice latch, the backplate is simply threaded on. No screw heads or fixings are visible, and the backplate is held securely in place.
Wardrobe and cupboard knobs are available in all styles.

The tubular latch is a special latch, designed with strong springing as the knobs have no springs built in. The latch has a "soft close" function, and a "self aligning" function to ensure easy fitting.

For the Bathroom function, a convenient and easily fitted "privacy adaptor" is available which simply fits behind the backplate. The features include emergency outside access, and automatic release from inside. This is supplied in a separate Kit.

For the Lever furniture, fixing is face fixing, with one backplate being bolt through fixed to the opposite hand. For the Bathroom Function, a similar system to the knob privacy adaptor, described above, is used.
